Apples on MM111 rootstock- semi-dwarf trees (mature height of 15 feet)
Apples on Bud-9 rootstock- dwarf trees (mature height of 8 to 10 feet)
Pears on OHxF97 rootstock- semi-dwarf trees (mature height of 15-18 ft)
note: for a standard size tree (full height of 25 feet), simply plant the semi-dwarf trees with the graft several inches beneath the soil. The tree will overcome the dwarfing capacity of the rootstock. More space will have to be allotted to each tree and more time will be required to produce fruit, but the tree will be larger and have a longer life span.
